About the event
Join us for a culinary adventure in making bratwurst from scratch, guided by experienced butcher Chuck Wakeman from Butcher & The Bird, and Chef Ricky Goings from Sooper Secret Izakaya. This hands-on workshop is both educational and enjoyable, as they share traditional sausage-making techniques. Participants will learn about essential ingredients like high-quality meats, spices, and natural casings, as well as methods for seasoning and flavoring. Chef Chuck will demonstrate selecting the right cuts of meat and achieving the perfect texture. Additionally, participants will learn to create a smash burger with Chef Ricky, mastering patty shaping, seasoning, and the smash technique for maximum flavor. At the end, take home your freshly made bratwurst. Enhance your culinary skills with two passionate chefs in a fun setting!
